SUREBUILD 42.5 N is a premium multi-purpose cement that is ideal for concrete, general building and civil works. SUREBUILD can be applied for concrete, mortar, plaster, paving, precast products, grouts, shotcrete, soil stabilization. It is compatible with commercial chemical admixtures.

The SUREBUILD bag is not weatherproof and should be stored under cover, off the ground, on raised timber platform or on plastic sheeting to protect against rising dampness. The bags should be stacked to a maximum height of 12 bags or two pallets. The bags should be used following the First in First out method.

SUREBUILD conforms to the 42.5 N strength class of SANS 50197-1 for common cements and, depending on source factory, is identified as one of:

  • CEM II/A 42.5 N
  • CEM II/B 42.5 N

“CEM II/A” denotes Portland composite cement with an extender content between 6 and 20%

“CEM II/B” denotes Portland composite cement with an extender content between 20 and 35%

“CEM III/A” denotes blast furnace cement with a blast furnace slag content between 35 and 65%

Extenders used in the manufacture of SUREBUILD include limestone (denoted “L”), fly ash (denoted “V”), and blast furnace slag (denoted “S”). Blends of two or more of the above extenders are denoted “M”.

First Aid Measures

Product in Eye: Wash eyes with large volumes of water. Seek medical attention.  The fornices (behind the eyelids) should always be checked for congealed material.

Product Ingestion: Ingestion in a harmful quantity is very unlikely to occur.  If ingested drink plenty of water and consult a doctor immediately. DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING.

Product Inhaled: Remove exposed person to fresh air.  Prolonged exposure at high dust concentrations may cause a cough and phlegm.

Product on Skin: Wash with water and soap.
