Initiated by the youth of Bugarama the CIMERWA poultry project was created when scholars from the school expressed the idea that they would like to start their own business. With guidance from PPC, AND $400 as seed capital, the group created a business plan and bought a number of chicks. These chicks have grown up to be laying hens that produce yellow eggs. Yellow eggs are high in demand and will be used at Cimerwa canteen and sold to staff. The group is made up of graduates from the school, as well as graduates who have attended veterinary college and have expert knowledge on animal health, nutrition and the logistics of running a successful business.
